A Bathonian Christmas on Wednesday 23rd November
It has been two years since twinkling chalets adorned our city, but we are finally ready to see the return of Bath Christmas Market from Thursday 24th November until Sunday 11th December. With over 170 stalls to explore, this is set to be one of the city’s biggest markets to date. Even better news for us Bathonians is that Bath Christmas Market is bringing back the special residents’ preview evening between 5pm and 7pm on Wednesday 23rd November. This is the perfect opportunity to meander through the market streets before the crowds start to gather and pick up some all-important festive treats. So, what can you expect from the market this year?
A wonderful mix of artisan makers
Bath Christmas Market is known for being the festive home of artisans, attracting some of the best makers from the South West and beyond. This year you can pick up everything from shoes to scotch eggs whilst soaking up some of the festive atmosphere.
This year will also see the launch of their Christmas Carts, situated on Green Street. Here, you will find micro-businesses looking to try their hand at market trading for a short period of time. Many of the makers are just launching their businesses and offer something that has never been at Bath Christmas Market before.
Discovery Card Discounts
Not only do we get an early preview of the market, but all stallholders and caterers also have discounts for anyone that holds a discovery card every Monday to Friday. Some examples of these are 10% off, or free products if you spend over a certain amount.
On top of deals at the market, a discovery card also gives you some other perks to enjoy during the festive season such as discounted spa visits or free entry to some of Bath’s historic sites.
Lighting up the city
As well as the market to explore, the city’s favourite streets will also be awash with festive joy once again this year. Take some time to wander around the streets of Bath and see the city glow. Monuments including the Roman Baths, Bath Mineral Hospital, and of course Bath Abbey will be a multitude of festive hues to add a wonderful ambiance to the city.
Bath Christmas Market will return to the streets of Bath from Thursday 24th November until Sunday 11th December.
