Bath Christmas Market Shortlisted for Bath Life Award
We are delighted with today’s news that Bath Christmas Market has been shortlisted for Best Event at this year’s Bath Life Awards. This is such an achievement for all the team involved, and we’re really pleased with the opportunity to feature with some of the city’s best events.
The Bath Life Awards celebrate and recognise some of the wonderful work that happens within our incredible city, and we are honoured to be shortlisted with some of Bath’s best businesses and initiatives. Best Event is an award that recognises an event that has contributed to the city and has had a positive impact on all involved.
It’s been a big year for Bath Christmas Market, as we celebrated our 20th anniversary after a 2-year hiatus. This year also debuted a new layout, taking into consideration comments from traders, local businesses, and visitors. 2022 also saw the launch of our ‘Christmas Carts’ to give local micro-businesses the opportunity to try their hand at Bath Christmas Market for a reduced rate.
Over 200 traders joined us to welcome in the festive period along with 36 local charities. Talking about their time at the market, Zoe from Zoe Rose Art said “As a local artist, having the opportunity to trade at Bath Christmas Market was a bucket list moment and the experience did not disappoint. The organisation, planning, and support of the events team were second to none, every detail was thoroughly planned and executed.
The feedback from the visitors who attended and shopped at the market was lovely to hear. Many were from the southwest but also we had so many people visit from around the UK and the world. They made a weekend of it in the beautiful Georgian city. The revised layout, the variety of artisan traders, and the sense that each trader had put eco-awareness and sustainability at the forefront were so evident and the visitors fed this back. It was a pleasure to be part of this UK-leadingc Christmas event and was a highlight in everyone's calendar”.
The Bath Life Awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 23rd March, wish us luck!
